For the past few weeks, the Patriots have been mentioned as a potential suitor for DeAndre Hopkins. That being said, the latest report from Albert Breer makes it seem like New England is not even involved in these sweepstakes.
“I can’t find anyone in that building who thinks DeAndre Hopkins will be a consideration for Bill Belichick, and at this point New England hasn’t been in it,” Breer wrote, via Sports Illustrated.
Hopkins, a five-time Pro Bowler, would give the Patriots an elite playmaker for their passing game. However, the front office might be content with its recent additions of Mike Gesicki and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Judging by the reactions on Twitter, football fans are convinced that Hopkins will end up on the Chiefs.

As far as trade compensation is concerned, Breer doesn’t expect the Cardinals to receive a second-round pick and another asset in return for Hopkins.
“I do think he’ll bring back more than Brandin Cooks did for the Texans—Houston got a 2023 fifth-rounder and ’24 sixth-rounder for him from the Cowboys—but it’ll probably be closer to that than what Arizona is looking for,” Breer said.
Where do you think Hopkins will play football next season?
