From Pro Bowl rookie to the center of a brewing QB controversy, Mac Jones’ future in New England could reportedly be in question.
According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, the Patriots may not see a “massive gap” between Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe and he thinks they would entertain trade offers for the former first-round pick.
Adding that Bill Belichick “didn’t appreciate” how Jones handled the team’s struggles this past season.
The NFL world reacted to the Mac Jones update on social media.
“There never was lol,” laughed Luke Easterling.
“Should’ve just finished the season with “Zap Bailey.” Could’ve sneaked in the playoffs lol,” a fan tweeted.
“Bill Belichick, who essentially tanked his team bc his ego wouldn’t allow him to hire a competent offensive coaching staff, is MAD that Mac Jones thought that circus was bulls–t,” said a Bills podcast. “I’m loving the fall of Patriots.”
