The Patriots are reportedly on the hunt for a star receiver.
Per The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, New England has called about DeAndre Hopkins and Jerry Jeudy. Adding, they also attended Odell Beckham Jr.’s workout last week in Arizona.
The national insider notes that price will likely be a sticking point.
The NFL world reacted to the Pats rumors on Wednesday.
“Seen this move before,” a fan said.
“Wait. Are you telling me that Chaim Belichick is ‘in on’ these guys???” asked longtime Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy.
“We should get all three of them at this point,” another fan tweeted.
“The Pats are those people that tour houses way out of their price range for the free food,” a user commented.
“Interesting nugget here! I appreciate the awareness from the organization that WR is a pretty glaring issue on their roster,” Damian Parson replied.
“Just get a freakin’ deal done for somebody who can make plays,” said Chris Brockman.
The Patriots already lost leading receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Raiders this offseason. A team already devoid of weapons will have to make something happen if they want to be competitive in the increasingly tough AFC East.
