Not even frigid conditions can stop Patriots head coach Bill Belichick from wearing shorts at practice.
A video of Belichick wearing shorts at Wednesday’s practice surfaced on Twitter. It was an interesting outfit choice considering it was 45 degrees outside.
Belichick was wearing a jacket and beanie, so he didn’t exactly treat Wednesday’s practice like it was a training camp session in July.
Nonetheless, football fans can’t get over Belichick wearing shorts just a day before New England was hit with a winter weather advisory.
“That’s my coach,” a Patriots fan tweeted.
“I mean it when I say this: I yearn for the day when I can dress like Belichick and not be judged,” one person said.
Another person commented, “#BillBelichick has truly adapted to his #NewEngland surroundings with the shorts/coat look in bad weather. Now he needs an iced coffee in one hand.”
The Patriots will host the Jets this Sunday at Gillette Stadium. They won the first meeting at MetLife Stadium earlier this season.
Kickoff for the Jets-Patriots game is at 1 p.m. ET.
