NFL World Reacts To Bill Belichick’s Peyton Manning Admission

Bill Belichick didn’t mince words when talking about Peyton Manning this week.

The legendary quarterback is getting inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Sunday. Manning is one of seven members of the 2021 class.

Belichick had several notable battles against Manning over the years. He admitted this week that he’s definitely the best quarterback he’s coached against.

“He is definitely the best quarterback I’ve coached against,” he said. “There have been quarterbacks who called their own plays, but it was nowhere near the same as what he did. He basically called every play by adjusting and/or changing the play once he saw what the defense was doing. He excelled at using the cadence and recognizing blitzes, and more than any one single offensive player, he forced us to change and adapt defensive game plans.”

Of course, everyone had the same reaction to Belichick’s comment.

Will the same be true after this season, when Belichick coaches against Tom Brady?

“Until Week 4 of this season……” one fan wrote.

“Does he have to change that answer after week four?” another fan asked.

“Until October 3rd, he means,” one fan replied.

It will be interesting to see how Belichick comments on Brady following their matchup this season. They won six Super Bowls together, after all, but it wouldn’t be surprising if there’s a little bit of bad blood – at least while Brady is still playing.

New England and Tampa Bay are scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. E.T. on Sunday, Sept. 3. It should be a fun one.
