The New England Patriots are in a weird phase right now.
They’re not good enough to compete for a Super Bowl but they’re also not bad enough to be one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Since Tom Brady left three years ago, the Patriots have missed the playoffs twice and have also not won a playoff game since 2018 when they took down the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.
That has left fans of this storied franchise nervous for the future, but rest assured, head coach Bill Belichick isn’t. He’s actually optimistic about the team’s future and gave a reason why when he was asked.
“The last 25 years,” Belichick said.
Question: What would you say to fans to be optimistic for what’s ahead for the Patriots?
Bill Belichick: “The last 25 years.”

Those last 25 years may have produced six Super Bowls but Patriots fans and NFL media members are skeptical about going back to those glory days.
I’m always optimistic with Belichick at the helm, but that’s kinda rich considering he is famous for not paying/rewarding players for what they’ve done but what they WILL do https://t.co/XVVS6r8ROX

If Belichick can get this team back to the playoffs next season, that will go a long way toward getting some people back on the train.
