We’re only a few hours away from the NFL trade deadline. Teams doing some last-minute shopping have to act quickly.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott is drawing some interest from around the league.
Elliott signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots this summer, meaning he’d be a rental for any team that acquires him. New England is 2-6 and virtually out of playoff contention, so flipping Elliott for a pick makes sense.

In eight games this season, Elliott has carried the ball 67 times for 260 yards (3.9 ypc) and two touchdowns. He also has 13 receptions for 59 yards.
The former longtime Dallas Cowboys star turned in his top performance of the year so far against the New York Jets in Week 3, gaining 80 yards on 16 carries.
Elliott also scored touchdowns in back-to-back games against the Las Vegas Raiders and Buffalo Bills.
The 2023 NFL trade deadline is 4 p.m. ET this afternoon.
