Last weekend, Patriots quarterback Mac Jones was accused of delivering a low blow to Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner. That led many to believe that he’d receive some form of discipline from the NFL.
Well, it turns out that’s not the case.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the league didn’t fine Jones for his alleged actions in Week 3.
“Any discipline would’ve required sufficient video evidence to support Sauce Gardner’s accusation,” Pelissero said. “In this case, there wasn’t enough.”

Earlier this week, Jones was asked about his incident with Gardner. He tried his best to stay away from the topic.
“Just really focused on the Cowboys, trying to prepare for a good defense. That’s my focus – trying to control the controllables,” Jones said. “I’m looking forward to just building this week.”
Jones has been at the center of a handful of controversial plays in his young career. As a result, he has been labeled a “dirty player” by some.
