In a shocking turn of events, Patriots wide receiver Jalen Hurd is retiring from the NFL.
Hurd, 27, was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2019 draft. Unfortunately, injuries prevented him from seeing the field the past few years.
A few weeks ago, the Patriots added Hurd to their roster for training camp. The hope was that he’d rejuvenate his career in New England.
At the end of the day though, Hurd has decided to call it a career.
Damn, I was lowkey ready to watch his road back this preseason. https://t.co/Wa7lnA1M8k

Hurd was a game-changer at the collegiate level, finishing his time at Baylor and Tennessee with 4,282 yards from scrimmage and 33 touchdowns.
We wish Hurd all the best as he enters the next chapter of his career
