There was another massive rumor regarding New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers this week.
FOX Sports 1 host Craig Carton, who is from New York, said on Thursday that the New England Patriots made an offer to acquire Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers when he was still there.
Carton then said that Rodgers’ agent shut the talks down because Rodgers want to focus on playing for the Jets. After that, Carton took a shot at Belichick, calling him “satan.”
“Those snakes in the grass in New England can never be trusted,” Carton said, (first transcribed by NESN). “I want to think my main man right here, Aaron Rodgers, for recognizing you don’t go play for satan. You don’t go play for satan.”

This will undoubtedly spark up the Jets-Patriots rivalry for this upcoming season.
The two teams will play for the first time on Sept. 24 at MetLife Stadium before they play again on Jan. 7 in Foxborough.
