Fresh off a Super Bowl championship, JuJu Smith-Schuster is New England bound.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, JuJu and the Patriots reached an agreement on a three-year, $33 million deal that includes $22.5 million over the first two years.
Fans gave their thoughts on the contract details Wednesday.
“Bill is going to lose his MIND the first time he witnesses JuJu making a TikTok in the locker room,” tweeted TJ Jordan.
“Belichick: ‘Welcome to the team. But no more TikToks.’ JuJu:” said FanDuel.
“Same amount Jakobi Meyers got on the market. But given age, size, hands and talent I consider JuJu a huge upgrade. Excited to see how Bill O’Brien integrates his speed into the Patriots offensive scheme,” commented Courtney Fallon.
“I would’ve matched this with no hesitation,” a Chiefs fan replied.
“After back-to-back one-year deals, JuJu secures a longterm contract. Figures to work as Jakobi’s replacement. Assuming health, he should be good for an 85 catch season,” said Liz Loza.
In 16 games with KC last season JuJu recorded 78 catches for 933 yards and three touchdowns.
