As the New England Patriots settle in for the grind of training camp, head coach Bill Belichick is taking stock of his roster. Acquired in the offseason, wide receiver Nelson Agholor could be a key factor in what has been a revamped Patriots passing attack.
The wide receiver caught 48 passes for 896 yards and eight touchdowns last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.
In speaking to the media on Wednesday, Belichick gave praise to Agholor. His skill set as well as his attention to detail have been two things in particular that have impressed the coach so far.
“He’s good to work with, he works hard. He’s very detailed, and wants to be detailed. He wants to do things the way they need to be done, and be where the quarterback needs him to be, and have the right timing and so forth. He’s got a good skill set and has been able to play a couple different positions for us, as all the receivers have. We’ve moved him all around a little bit here in the spring and in training camp, and has continued to do that.”
As the Patriots look to bounce back offensively, Agholor may be in line for ample production in 2021.
