Mina Kimes: ‘I absolutely love what the Patriots did’ in the NFL Draft

The ESPN analyst is a fan of New England’s 2025 draft class.

The New England Patriots received plenty of praise for their 2025 NFL Draft. The latest to jump onto the hype drain is ESPN analyst Mina Kimes, who spoke highly of the team’s ability to address its needs without overextending.

“I absolutely love what the Patriots did,” she said. “They went into this draft with, I felt, some pretty glaring needs on offense and they really managed to address those needs without reaching from a value perspective — starting, of course, with Will Campbell, who they envision as the long-term left tackle of the future who can grow with Drake Maye.”

Campbell was drafted fourth overall by the Patriots in Round 1. The focus then shifted to Day 2, and two more offensive weapons added to the fold.

“I want to highlight the next two picks because I think what both TreVeyon Henderson and Kyle Williams do is they give this offense big-play potential,” she added. “Henderson was a home run hitter as a back, averaged 7 yards per carry, which is the most of any Power 5 back. And Kyle Williams out of Washington State averaged the most yards after catch per reception of any Power 5 receiver. I think he adds a speed element to this group that pairs really nicely with Stefon Diggs and DeMario Douglas, who can work the short and intermediate parts.

“I just feel like the Patriots knocked this one out of the park. I think it was a really, really great draft class for them.”

In total, New England selected 11 players in the draft.
