Mac Jones Names His Pick For NFL’s Best Defensive Line

Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had some high praise for one NFL team’s defensive line during a recent radio appearance.

Talking ball on Monday’s “Jones & Mego” ahead of New England’s season opener vs. the Eagles, the third-year QB called Philly’s unit the best in the league.

They have the best defensive line in the NFL so, at the end of the day, we just have to go out there and compete, and try and control what we can control, and understand that we’re going against a bunch of beasts.

The Eagles D-line is about as fearsome as it gets. Led by veterans Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham, younger players like Brandon Sweat, Jordan Davis and rookie Jalen Carter only add to Philadelphia’s outstanding pass rush.

Jones and the Pats struggled mightily on offense last season. But if they can continue to have a steady ground game along with improved scheme under Bill O’Brien, New England should be in most games.

We’ll get our first taste of what that could look like Sept. 10 at 4:25 PM ET.
