Things are sounding pretty unclear at 1 Patriot Place.
After his benching before the final drive of Sunday’s loss to the Colts, Mac Jones was asked if he expects to be the starting quarterback for the team’s next game against the Giants.
His answer wasn’t yes.
“No, we haven’t talked about that,” Jones told WEEI Radio. “Really just, today we watched the game film and kinda talked about the plans for the bye week, so. We have practice tomorrow so. Just see how it goes there and the bye week’s a great time to work on things that you can do better so, that’s what I’m going to do.”

The QB was later pressed on if he thinks he’ll get an answer on his No. 1 spot any time soon. To which Jones replied that that’s not his focus right now.
“Um. I really am not focusing on that and really just focusing on things I can control and focused on that. I’ve always done that,” he said. “I really need to improve, obviously, and that’s what I’m going to focus on.”
Should be interesting to watch this one unfold.
