The first round of the NFL Draft has been active with trades.

In the latest one, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded with the New England Patriots, moving up from No. 17 to No. 14 to take Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones.

The commentary on the trade was immediate on social media.

“Patriots giving their pick to the Steelers to draft the player I wanted the Patriots to draft is the most familiar and infuriating feeling,” said FS1’s Tanya Ray Fox.

“Hidden cost of the Aaron Rodgers trade — Jets lose out on a tackle they might have coveted, in Broderick Jones,” said Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, referencing the fact the Jets moved down two spots to No. 15.

“Patriots trade down, of course. Steelers jump up to get an OL, which will stink and FINALLY, THE JETS ARE ON THE CLOCK!!! LFG (I’m probably gonna love the pick),” said FS1’s Jason McIntyre.

“The Patriots unending desire to screw the Jets helps the #steelers,” chimed in Pittsburgh-based writer Tim Benz.

The Jets wound up taking Iowa State pass rusher Will McDonald at 15th overall.
