Look: NFL World Reacts To Bill Belichick Offseason Photo

February 20, 2023 by The Spun

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has a few weeks of R & R time before getting back to the football field. A recent photo revealed what he’s doing with that spare time.

On Friday, a social media user showed off a photo of Belichick ordering an Italian sub sandwich at a popular shop. While he was wearing his trademark hooded sweatshirt, people noticed that he was looking much thinner than usual.

Gone was the usual paunch that has been one of his signature features for many years. Instead, he’s looking slim and much more physically fit.

Fans on Twitter loved to see Belichick looking so fit. Though a few others were more interested in seeing Belichick’s choice in places to go for his Italian subs:

The 2023 season saw Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots miss the playoffs for the second time in three years. They had an average offense and saw both units finish outside the top 10 for the first time since Belichick’s first year at the helm.

As a result, the Patriots made some big changes to their coaching staff to start the offseason, the most notable of which was bringing back Bill O’Brien as their offensive coordinator.

But if the Patriots have any ambitions of returning to the Super Bowl after four straight years without a playoff win, they need something special this coming year.
