Legendary NFL Star Is Calling For Bill Belichick To Retire

There’s at least one member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame publicly saying Bill Belichick should retire after the 2023 season is over.

During an appearance on “Fearless With Jason Whitlock,” former NFL defensive lineman Warren Sapp put Belichick on blast for his recent failures.

Sapp believes Belichick was such a successful figure because he had the privilege of coaching two of the best players in the history of the NFL, Tom Brady and Lawrence Taylor.

Now that Belichick’s window to win a Super Bowl has closed, Sapp thinks it’s time for him to retire.

“Tom Brady is the reason why you’re Bill Belichick,” Sapp said. “Lawrence Taylor is the reason why you’re Bill Belichick. Maybe the greatest football player on offense and maybe the greatest football player on defense to ever be in the National Football League. Bill, that’s who you owe that to. All that ‘Patriot Way’ s–t is out of the window. You can’t go recreate it somewhere else because no one cares about it. No one respects that but you.”

Ouch.

Belichick is on track to have his worst season ever in New England. His squad is 2-8 heading into Week 12.

Do you think Belichick should retire this offseason?
