Former NFL quarterback Alex Smith made headlines a couple of weeks ago when he made a comment about legendary quarterback Tom Brady.
During the segment, Smith roasted Brady for playing in the AFC East, which was always a joke of a division when Brady played for the New England Patriots. The Patriots would terrorize the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets while Brady was with them.
That got Julian Edelman, a former teammate of Brady’s super upset.
“You can’t talk about him (Brady) like that,” Edelman said. “Alex Smith is not even that guy, man. He’s a nice guy but you’re not that guy, pal. You’re not that guy to talk about the GOAT like that.”

Edelman won three Super Bowls with Brady and spent his entire NFL career with him so it’s not a surprise to see him disagree with what Smith said.
That said, Smith isn’t entirely wrong. The AFC East was far from the best division in football while Brady was with the Patriots.
Despite that, Brady still led the Patriots to six Super Bowls before winning another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
