JuJu Smith-Schuster was a big piece to the Chiefs Super Bowl puzzle in 2022. But this offseason, the veteran wideout decided to ink a three-year, $33 million deal with the New England Patriots.
Speaking on his decision to come to Foxborough, JuJu revealed a lot of it had to do with offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien:
When they got Bill O’Brien it was kind of like a no-brainer. Just because I know how this system is and how it works and how he works the offense. And [Bill] Belichick as he is as a head coach, and to bring [O’Brien] in and to bring Mike [Gesicki] and all those other guys – all these key pieces. It was like, ‘Wow,’ this is great fit for me.

Smith-Schuster projects to be WR1 in New England ahead of DeVante Parker, Tyquan Thornton and Kendrick Bourne.
This year figures to be a big one for the Patriots as they’ve failed to post a winning record in two of the three seasons since Tom Brady left.
There’s even talk of Bill Belichick possibly being on the hot seat if the team isn’t able to make some more noise in the playoffs.
