For a team that hasn’t beaten the New England Patriots since 2015, the New York Jets are talking a little too much smack about the team that typically smacks them around.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner declared that the Patriots offense doesn’t seem complex to him. He said it’s one that’s “pretty simple for the quarterback to get.”
“They don’t really have a complex offense,” Gardner said, per SNY. “It’s pretty simple for the quarterback to get. The gap scheme, everything is really simple. But they excel at it.
“What they try to do is get other people to mess up and make mistakes. They just do everything right.”

Sauce Gardner probably shouldn’t be poking any other teams after the way he and his defense were walloped by the Dallas Cowboys this past week.
The Jets defense has already given up 46 points this season and gave up 30 to the Cowboys just three days ago.
The Patriots now have their bulletin board material going up against the team they’ve humiliated week after week for the last seven seasons.
