Drafted in 2019, the former third-round pick didn’t suit up for New England until 2021. He played seven games that year and 10 more in 2022,
Cajuste made three starts for a reeling New England offense last season and played 197 of the offense’s snaps. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder has committed just one penalty (holding) during his career.
The Patriots released Cajuste after bolstering their offensive line with three late draft picks.
While the Jets drafted center Joe Tippmann in the second and tackle Carter Warren with a fourth-round selection obtained from New England, tackle remains a concern. They’re relying on Mekhi Becton to return and stay healthy after last playing in Week 1 of the 2021 campaign.
While the Giants have their starting tackles in Andrew Thomas and Evan Neal, their offensive line lacks depth after losing Nick Gates and Jon Feliciano.
