The jersey numbers for the New England Patriots’ 2024 rookie draft class have officially been revealed.
One number will instantly be familiar with fans with quarterback Drake Maye reprising the No. 10 jersey he wore at North Carolina, which also happens to be the same number worn by former Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.
Of course, the team is hoping the career trajectories of the two quarterbacks are nothing alike. Jones kick-started his rookie campaign as a Pro Bowler, before falling off a cliff and ultimately being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a sixth-round draft pick in free agency.
The rebuilding Patriots used seven of their eight draft picks on offensive players in hopes of making significant improvements on that side of the ball. We’ll get our first glimpse of them in action over the weekend with the team set to begin rookie minicamp on Friday.
