Jabrill Peppers Apologizes For Trashing Patriots In Postgame Chat With Saquon Barkley

New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers has apologized after trashing his team to New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley.

After the Giants beat the Patriots last week, Peppers told Barkley, “You’re lucky we ass,” and it made all the headlines. Everybody knows the Patriots aren’t good but it’s still nuts to hear one of their players say it on the record.

Peppers then apologized to everyone involved on Friday.

“First of all, I just want to apologize to my teammates and coaches for even having to answer questions about that. We got more important things to worry about than me being caught on a hot mic. At the end of the day, we’re 2-9 and have a top-five pick in the draft that didn’t come via trade. We all know the standard and what it’s supposed to look like and it’s not right now,” Peppers said.

Despite their lousy record, the Patriots will continue to try and win games down the stretch so the season doesn’t get any worse than it already is.

Their next game will be this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
