Ironically, Chung’s last tweet from yesterday afternoon says it was “the best day of [his] life.”
It’s unclear whether or not he sent that before or after being arrested.

A second-round pick out of Oregon in 2009, Chung played for the Patriots from 2009-12 and 2014-19. He also had a one-year stint with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013.
Chung opted out of the 2020 season with the Patriots due to COVID-19 before announcing his retirement from football in March. He finished his NFL career with 778 tackles, 11 interceptions, five fumble recoveries, 4.5 sacks, 57 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.
More details on Chung’s arrest should be out throughout the day. We’ll keep you posted.
