The New England Patriots are getting ready for a trip to Frankfurt, Germany for a game against the Indianapolis Colts, but they’re leaving one of their players behind.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have left Pro Bowl cornerback J.C. Jackson off the travel team going to Frankfurt. The Patriots acquired Jackson – who previously made Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors with them in 2021 – about a month ago in a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers.
“#Patriots CB JC Jackson is not expected to travel with the team to Germany for their game against the #Colts, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. With questions about his reliability, the decision was made to have him stay home, get through the bye and return in a better place,”
Chargers fans recalled that the team was criticized for not getting the most out of Jackson’s potential and have taken to X to thump their chests over the Patriots realizing that Jackson was the problem – not their staff.
Turns out the Chargers concerns/issues with JC were incredibly valid.

Belichick said, “Nah…you ain’t going to Germany… you’re grounded.”

J.C. Jackson had an interception and three passes defended in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins but has just three passes defended in the six games since.
It’s really starting to look like the Patriots lost the trade to get their former Pro Bowler back.
