Ezekiel Elliott Reportedly Had Dinner With 2 Key Patriots During Visit

August 18, 2023 by The Spun

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA – JANUARY 22: Ezekiel Elliott #21 of the Dallas Cowboys looks on prior to an NFL divisional round playoff football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys at Levi’s Stadium on January 22, 2023 in Santa Clara, California. Earlier this summer a photo showing New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones and then-free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott at a restaurant made some headlines.

Elliott was clearly visiting with the Patriots, but the photo left one question – why were they facing the same direction in the booth of a restaurant?

We now know. Jones and Elliott weren’t the only two sitting at the table that night. The free agent running back met with who would later become his running mate after joining the Patriots: Rhamondre Stevenson.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed details from the meeting during his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

“… The only team we know he visited was the New England Patriots on July 29. And that night, he had dinner with Mac Jones and Rhamondre Stevenson. He was excited,” Schefter said.

Stevenson opened up on the latest addition to the running back room.

“That’s my guy. I met him in 2021; we’ve been pretty close ever since,” he said. The way he runs the ball, his determination, his relentlessness, he’s going to give you all he’s got; I feel our games are going to complement each other very well.”

Stevenson and Elliott are a powerful running back duo.
