Jamael Lett entered the NFL ranks in Foxborough last season.

After spending 2024 with the New England Patriots, Jamael Lett is moving on to the NFC North.

The Green Bay Packers have hired the 36-year-old as a defensive backs quality control coach, according to a report Friday from Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.

Lett, who joined Jerod Mayo’s Patriots staff last February, spent the 4-13 season in a similar role before not staying on under new head coach Mike Vrabel. He worked in quality control as a defensive coaching assistant and helped oversee New England’s secondary.

Before arriving in Foxborough, Lett logged 2023 as a special teams analyst at the University of North Carolina. Prior to then, he logged two seasons at the University of South Alabama as a defensive assistant and special teams coordinator.

Lett’s previous collegiate coaching stops would also include Akron, Samford, Ohio and Tennessee-Martin.

The California native began at the high school level after playing defensive back at Samford from 2006 through 2010, where he recorded 110 tackles, 16 pass breakups, four interceptions and two forced fumbles for the Bulldogs.
