Bill Belichick’s time in New England seems all but dried up but one of his ex-players believes there’s still a situation out there that could be a “perfect fit.”

Appearing on the “Up & Adams” show with Kay Adams, former Patriots safety turned NBC analyst Devin McCourty said he thinks Belichick to the Los Angeles Chargers.

If I had to pick, I’d say the Chargers. And everybody keeps bringing up [Justin] Herbert and obviously that is the most enticing thing, but I think it’s also his understanding of what a team needs. … If you want a coach that can turn something around… I think Bill’s a guy that come in and do that right away.

According to longtime Patriots writer Tom E. Curran, the team plans to move on from the Belichick after the season which would bring an end to an unprecedented run in New England.

The Chargers have seemingly everything you could want when it comes to talent and the quarterback position.

But at this point in his career does Bill Belichick have another Super Bowl run in him?
