The Titans won’t be the only AFC team meeting with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins this month.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have a meeting with Hopkins scheduled for next week.
Hopkins will visit the Titans before he sees what the Patriots have to offer.
Rapoport pointed out that Hopkins has some familiarity with the Patriots’ coaching staff.
“A DeAndre Hopkins visit to the #Patriots makes sense for a lot of reasons. Here is one: He played for now-Pats OC Bill O’Brien to start his career in Houston and was an All-Pro three times in his offense. A reunion would be fascinating,” Rapoport added.

Hopkins would give Patriots quarterback Mac Jones a reliable option in crucial situations. He’d also form a nice tandem – on paper – with JuJu Smith-Schuster.
The Cardinals released Hopkins at the end of May, ending his three-year tenure with the franchise. Last season, he had 64 receptions for 717 yards and three touchdowns.
We’ll learn more about the DeAndre Hopkins sweepstakes next week.
