Sauce Gardner and Mac Jones had a run-in following Jones’ quarterback sneak during the Patriots’ 15-10 win over the Jets on Sunday.
After the game, Gardner accused the New England quarterback of hitting him in his “private parts.” He then shared video, albeit a grainy, faraway version, of the alleged tap below the belt.
It was tough to tell in the clip Gardner posted whether Jones definitively hit him, but in the closeup footage shared by NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic this afternoon, it certainly looks like he did.
Russini’s video is reportedly from an NFL source, so it’s likely the league office has seen it as well.

Should the NFL determine Jones is guilty of hitting Gardner in a sensitive spot, the 2021 first-round pick will almost assuredly be punished, most likely with a fine.
The Jets won’t face New England until Week 18 in January, so we’ll have to wait more than three months until Sauce and Jones are on the same field together.
When that happens, expect officials to be on the lookout for possible fireworks.
