However, it shouldn’t be a surprise for the Cowboys if they add a running back before the trade deadline next month. Originally selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the former Toledo product hasn’t looked the same this season ever since coming back to the league last year. The veteran re-signed a one-year contract to stay in Kansas City to continue to serve as Pacheco’s backup, and it hasn’t been the best season for him this year. It wouldn’t take much from the Cowboys to get someone like Hunt, who will become a free agent next offseason either way.
