A former New England Patriots running back got into some trouble with the law over the weekend.
According to TMZ, former Patriots running back Stevan Ridley was arrested in Mississippi on two charges. It’s not clear what the two charges were for but he was released from jail on Sunday after being arrested on Saturday night.
Ridley is originally from Natchez, so it’s not surprising to see him back there.
He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Patriots and also helped them win Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks. He then spent one season with the New York Jets, one with the Atlanta Falcons, and two with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ridley has been retired from the NFL since 2018, which was the last of two seasons with the Steelers. For his career, he had 743 carries for 3,102 yards and 24 touchdowns.
This is a developing story.
