It’s only Week 3, but there are already people calling for Bill Belichick’s job.
Boston radio host Tony Massarotti was recently asked which NFL head coach should be fired right now. He replied, “Bill Belichick.”
Massarotti then made it clear to the audience that he has been off the Belichick bandwagon for a few years now.
“Why are you surprised, I said I would fire him three years ago,” Massarotti explained. “Out. Bye. Done. See you later. It should have already happened. The only reason it hasn’t happened is because of that stupid Shula record.”

For what it’s worth, Tom E. Curran reported this past summer that Belichick was on the hot seat coming into this season.
“He’s on the hot seat. And he’s been there at different levels of warmth since 2019,” Curran said.
Belichick hasn’t had much success without Tom Brady, albeit he reached the playoffs in 2021 with Mac Jones as his quarterback.
We’ll see if the Patriots can turn things around and pick up their first win of the season this Sunday against the Jets.
