It’s officially Tom Brady week for Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
The Patriots are set to welcome their former quarterback back this week. Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will travel to New England this weekend for a Sunday Night Football showdown at Gillette Stadium.
Monday morning, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked about Brady. He was asked if there reached a point where he no longer wanted Brady as the team’s quarterback.
Belichick had a clear response.
Question (via @TheGregHillShow): Over the course of your time together with Tom Brady, you said dozens of times there was no quarterback you’d rather have. When did that change?
Bill Belichick: “It never changed.” (1/2)

Belichick didn’t appear to be interested in getting into much more than that, though.
“I think we’ve been through all the dynamics of that…” Belichick said when asked if he wanted Brady to re-sign. “He looked at his options and made his decision. We weren’t as good an option as Tampa…It wasn’t a question of not wanting him, that’s for sure.”
Sunday night should be interesting.
The Patriots and the Buccaneers are set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. E.T. on Sunday night. The game will air on NBC.
