New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gave no quarter when he was asked about DeAndre Hopkins on Wednesday.
A reporter asked if the Patriots had any interest in going after the free-agent wide receiver and Belichick gave his usual response.
“Yeah, I’m not going to comment on players that aren’t on this team,” Belichick said.

This is what he always does. He wants to make sure his focus is on his players when he’s speaking to the media.
Now, he could look into signing him off-camera, but that remains to be seen.
Hopkins was released by the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday after they likely failed to get what they wanted in a trade. Because of that, Hopkins can now pick who he wants to play for.
Hopkins is coming off a 2022 campaign that saw him finish with 64 receptions for 717 yards and three touchdowns.
