Earlier this offseason, the Patriots had a new video board installed at Gillette Stadium. It’s 370 feet wide and 60 feet high.
Belichick revealed at training camp that the new video board has actually changed the wind patterns at Gillette Stadium.
“We were in there this spring a little bit,” Belichick told reporters, via Pro Football Talk. “Yeah, there’s some changes.”
Belichick added that it’s a “learning experience” for his kickers.
“We saw a lot of that in the spring, so we can’t control that, whatever it is, it is. It’s a learning experience for these guys. We’ll kick in the stadium when we can. Obviously those conditions have changed a little bit, so we’ll see how that goes. It’s a work in progress.”

The Patriots’ video board is the largest at any outdoor venue in the country.
Time will tell if this video board ends up giving the Patriots an edge in the kicking game.
