Bill Belichick Describing Malcolm Butler’s Iconic Interception Is Perfect

There’s a reason Bill Belichick is as revered as he is by both players and coaches.

His meticulous preparation and football knowledge are rivaled by few in NFL history and nowhere is that more apparent than the Malcolm Butler play that won the Patriots Super Bowl XLIX.

In a TikTok shared by the league itself, Belichick and other members of the 2014 Patriots recalled the undrafted corner’s interception and what led up to that iconic moment.

Fans were blown away on Twitter.

“Greatest play in Super Bowl history,” a user said.

“The best part is Bill deciding not to take the TO and not letting the Seahawks off the hook. Cliff said they had run that particular pass play on the GL for TDs so he didnt have a problem with call. Just interesting stuff,” another replied.

“With everyone throwing shade on Bill now, never forget how good he was,” a fan tweeted.

“This reminds me… obviously all the credit in the world to Butler for the INT. But Browner jamming the other WR was what made the whole thing possible. That defense was so freaking loaded,” another user commented.
