Bill Belichick Claps Back At Criticism Of Offseason Moves

If there’s one thing New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick hates it’s being questioned by the media. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that he pushed back aggressively when questioned about his offseason decisions.

In an interview with WEEI, Belichick was questioned about criticism he’s received for his offensive line strategy during the 2023 offseason. He dismissed he criticism, pointing out that the team signed veteran Riley Reiff and drafted several offensive linemen in April.

“We signed Riley Reiff, we drafted three players on the offensive line. I’m not sure what you’re talking about,” Belichick said, via NESN’s Dakota Randall.

But as they sometimes say: “Man plans. God laughs.”

Injuries have forced the New England Patriots to make some trades for even more offensive linemen as teams begin their final roster cuts.

The Patriots head into the season with a lot of uncertainty at the right tackle position in an AFC East division that is filled to the brim with talented pass rushers.

Bill Belichick may feel that he’s done everything he could to address the position, but if the offensive line fails to hold up then all of his plans will have been for naught.

Will the Patriots offense improve this season?
