With the 2024 NFL Draft just a few days away, ESPN’s Adam Schefter was asked about what he expects when it comes to the potential trading of picks towards the top of the board.

Both the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots have been linked to reports that they’d be open to moving back and accumulating more draft capital.

And during his recent appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” the NFL insider gave his percentage on the likelihood of that happening come Thursday — especially as it pertains to New England.

“Well, they’re less likely to stay. They’re going to listen,” Schefter revealed. “Well, how about this. They’re more likely to move the pick than the Commanders but I still think the odds favor them staying where they are. How about that?”

“It’s 75% that they stay where they are. I hate to put percentages on this,” he continued.

“I think the Commanders are likely to stay at two and pick their quarterback. I think the Patriots are a little less likely than the Commanders to stay at three but still more likely than not to make that pick at three. It’s up to a team this week to change the Patriots’ mind, which could happen.”

The Pats are rumored to really like Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy while Washington has shown an interest in both Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels and UNC star Drake Maye.

The NFL Draft kicks off April 25 in downtown Detroit with the Chicago Bears being the first team on the clock.
