3 Patriots front office executives traveling to NFL Scouting Combine

February 25, 2025 by Patriots Wire

New England Patriots front office executives Eliot Wolf, Alonzo Highsmith and Matt Groh traveled to Indianapolis on Monday for the NFL combine, according to Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan.

Wolf is scheduled to hold a press conference with the media at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday. The executive vice president of player personnel, along with both Groh and Highsmith, will have a major role in helping newly-hired head coach Mike Vrabel put together the 2025 roster.

Groh is the director of player personnel, and Highsmith serves as a senior personnel executive for the organization.

This is a big week for the Patriots in assessing the available talent in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. It will be an opportunity for them to watch the prospects up close and ask questions.

Vrabel is slated to be in Indy for the event as well. He is expected to address the media on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. ET

The Patriots have a critical choice to make with the fourth overall pick in the draft. Multiple options are in play for New England, including selecting a top talent with the pick or trading down for more picks later.

Whether good or bad, their choices in the draft will have long-term consequences for years to come.
