The Hampshire Gazette had previously reported Lytle was a game time decision after missing practice, noting only that he was banged up from taking 10 hits against Pittsburgh.
That means Brady Olson will take the reins on Saturday.
Olson, a true freshman, is a 6’4’’ QB from Bellingham, MA who came in to the Minutemen as a 3-star rated prospect and the #17-rated Massachusetts prospect. Olson had an offer from Georgia Tech and Colorado State, as well as interest from a plethora of FCS programs including Maine, UNH, Rhode Island, Fordham, and Lehigh.
It’ll be straight into the fire for the freshman against the heavily-favored Eagles.
The game kicks off at 3:30 PM on NESN+, with those outside of New England able to watch via subscription service FloSports.
