Jason Baum tweeted out an additional update on the status of Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec:
Phil Jurkovec is questionable to return with a right wrist injury.

This is somewhat heartening news as ‘questionable’ is certainly better than ‘out’ – and this lends credence to the hope that his removal from the game is precautionary.
Jurkovec played in the first drive for BC, and engineered a touchdown drive. It’s unclear at what point he picked up the injury.
Dennis Grosel came in to replace Jurkovec. He also led the Eagles to a touchdown drive, capping it off by running it into the end zone himself for a score.
Boston College leads UMass 14-0 at halftime, with first half highlights including a big goal line stand, with the Eagles stuffing UMass four straight times from inside the two yard line.
The game is being televised live on NESN+ and streamed on FloSports.
