Jurkovec sustained a hand injury on Saturday in BC’s win over UMass. Unlike Zay Flowers, who was also injured in the match, Jurkovec did not return to the game.
During yesterday’s media availability, Coach Hafley stated that Jurkovec had been in for scans and x-rays and football staff were expecting further details later that afternoon. Earlier today, Jurkovec posted an Instagram story showing his arm bandaged up at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

This is a huge loss for an Eagles team that fans had high expectations for, in no small part based on having Jurkovec at QB.
It is expected that Jurkovec will be replaced by redshirt senior Dennis Grosel, who replaced him in the UMass game.
Boston College has announced that injury updates for the football team will be made later this evening, and Hafley will meet with the media tomorrow afternoon.
Injury updates from @BCFootball coming later today.
In-person media availability tomorrow post-practice with Jeff Hafley at 11:50 a.m. in the Fish Field House Lobby.
