After a phenomenal showing in the Cayman Islands Classic that culminated in a victory over Boise State in the championship game, Boston College men’s basketball will be taking on Dartmouth on Friday in Conte Forum.

Who: Dartmouth Big Green (2-3) vs. Boston College Eagles (6-1)

Where: Conte Forum, Chestnut Hill, MA

When: Friday, November 29th, 2024

Tip-off Time: 12 PM EST

How to Watch: This game will be available on ACC Extra and ESPN+.

(The season is still young, so if you need to catch on BC’s roster, check out a full team preview here.)

Dartmouth basketball has been in a dreadful stretch for a long time now. They haven’t had a winning season since 1998-1999 when they finished 14-12. Their current coach, David McLaughlin, has been with the team since 2016 and he’s compiled a 64-134 record. Last year, Dartmouth finished 6-21 overall and 2-12 in the Ivy League.

This year, the Big Green started 2-0 with wins over Vermont State-Lyndon and Sacred Heart before losing their last three to Albany, BU, and Marist. They’re scoring 79 points per game and allowing 72.6.

McLaughlin’s squad is led in scoring by 6’6 senior forward, Cade Haskins, who has spent his entire college career at Dartmouth. After averaging just 2.4 minutes per game last year, Haskins is now playing more than 21 minutes per game and averaging 14.6 points, although he’s only started one game. He’s shooting 45% from the field and a team-high 41.9% from three, while also contributing 2.2 boards and 1 assist per game.

Ryan Cornish, a 6’4 senior guard, is second on the team in scoring, with 12.8 points, while chipping in 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. True freshman guard Connor Amundsen and junior forward Jackson Munro are third and fourth on the team in scoring, putting up 10.6 and 9.4 points respectively. Munro is also tied for the team lead in rebounds with 6 with senior Ryan Mythril.

Dartmouth is sitting at 346th at KenPom and this really should be a gimme for Earl Grant and his team.
