Later this afternoon, Notre Dame will face off against Boston College in what has been billed as a potential upset.
The Fighting Irish took down No. 1 Clemson last weekend. The last time Notre Dame beat the No. 1 team in the country, the Irish lost the following weekend – to Boston College.
Before the game kicks off, ESPN’s College GameDay broke down the action. During the show, the crew talked about the Notre Dame-Boston College game.
Fan favorite analyst Lee Corso decided to take a shot at Boston College during the show. “Boston College is a team made up of a lot of Notre Dame wanna bes,” the former coach said.
It’s an interesting comment from Corso, who doesn’t have any connection to Notre Dame. Perhaps he was just feeling a little cheeky on Saturday morning.
As for the actual game, the Fighting Irish remain the heavy favorites. Notre Dame will be facing off against a familiar player though.
Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec started his college football career at Notre Dame. He transferred after failing to steal the starting job from current Irish quarterback Ian Book.
Notre Dame and Boston College kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
