Florida State is coming off of an undefeated regular season & ACC Championship, though missed the College Football Playoff due to injury and talent concerns. FSU lost their first game of 2024 against Georgia Tech, but could still be CFP contenders now that the field for the playoof has expanded to 12 teams.
Boston College, meanwhile, lost their head coach Jeff Hafley to the Green Bay Packers and replaced him with longtime CFB and NFL coach Bill O’Brien, who is a native to the Boston area. O’Brien is looking to revamp a BC program that hasn’t won more than 7 games in a season in over a decade and just barely made a bowl game last season with one of the easiest schedules in the nation.
