Great day to be an Eagle
It’s a battle of top 25 teams this Saturday afternoon. College GameDay may have gone to the wrong Columbia, but the Eagles have arrived and are ready to “shock” the world. Mizzou is riding an 18 game nonconference winning streak, while BC looks to make it a second consecutive road victory against a top-10 opponent.
The line has moved considerably in Boston College’s favor to 14.5 after opening as a 17.5 point underdog. The total has also dropped two points to 52.5. As for me, I’m of course taking the Eagles in a lower scoring affair — look for the explosive plays on one end, and make the Tigers be methodical. Good news for the Eagles secondary, as Pete Thamel reports #29 Cam Martinez returns today from injury and will play nickel. Huge for the DBs about to go up against probably the best receiving corps they’ll face all season. Additionally keep an eye out for punter Ivan Zivenko (#35) to have a few goes after a tough start for Sam Candotti to star the year.
