BC started the second with that 2-1 lead, but Michigan State tied it up at 2 just 30 seconds into the period. the Eagles went on the power play a minute later, and with 18 seconds to go on the man advantage took the lead back with a goal from Lukas Gustafsson.

MSU tied things back up 3-3 with 12:28 to go in the second, and with 6:32 in the second the Spartans took back the lead after dominating play for a decent chunk of time. Michigan State took that 4-3 lead into intermission, heading into the last period of regulation up by 1.

The game stayed at 4-3 as the third period went on, and with 1:37 remaining in regulation BC pulled Fowler for the extra skater. The Eagles weren’t able to tie it up, and the game ended 4-3 in favor of the Spartans.
