Last Season: Joyce played in 35 of the Eagles’ 41 games last year, and tallied six points over the season. He was a consistent player in the Eagles’ bottom six, and had some clutch moments over the course of the season — most notably his goal in the first round of the NCAA tournament that put the Eagles up 3-1 against the Michigan Tech Huskies to give them a cushion they wouldn’t relinquish.
Season Outlook: Joyce will likely play a similar role this season, offering consistency and experience to the bottom six as he has for the past couple of years. He may get more playing time when the season begins as the freshman class acclimates to NCAA play, but will likely be a mainstay on the third or fourth lines depending on how the lineup shakes out.
Fun Fact: Joyce’s father also played at BC and was a captain in the 1993-94 season.
